Spring Lecture

Wednesday 29 March 2017 at 8pm (drinks from 7.30pm) in the Hyde Room, York House, Richmond Road, Twickenham, TW1 3AA

Nicola Moorby will give the talk ‘As if by Magic’: The Secrets of Turner’s Watercolour Techniques. Nicola lectures and writes on British art of the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries and co-wrote How to Paint Like Turner with Ian Warrell.

Entrance fee is £1 for Friends, and £6 for guests. No booking is required.

Celebration Walk: JMW Turner: Brentford and the Thames

Sunday 23 April 2017 1.45pm, begins Brentford Market Place

For our celebration of Turner’s birthday this year, Christine Diwell will lead a walk entitled JMW Turner: Brentford and the Thames, visiting places in this area associated with Turner’s life and art. The walk will start from Brentford Market Place at 1.45pm and finish with tea and cakes at Isleworth Public Hall at 3.15pm.

£5 members and guests, book in advance and pay on the day.

Annual General Meeting and Summer Party

Wednesday 24 May 2017, from 6pm at York House, Richmond Road, Twickenham, TW1 3AA

The AGM and Summer Party are open to all members.

The AGM will take place at 6pm in the Hyde Room, and the Summer Party will begin at 6.30pm in the Terrace Room.

The Summer Party is a ticketed event, at £10 per ticket to include a complimentary glass of wine or soft drink and refreshments.
